WAY TO GO JEN!!!!!
Knew you could do it girl!
You may or may not remember my cousin Jen- diagnosed with breast cancer while pregnant with twins?
I’m thrilled to report that 3 months post delivery, mom and baby are doing beautifully!!
Welcome to the world Maya!!
Jen has completed 10 sessions of chemo (very aggressive but then again so is the cancer), has already had her mastectomy, begun taking her medication to ‘starve’ the cancer of estrogen (yeah…I remember those days & it’s no walk in the park- but compared to chemo it’s easy) and will start 6 weeks of radiation in January after a much needed break in Hawaii with Jay :o)
The Goddess has been with them every step of the way- holding Jen’s hand and whispering encouragement in her ear.
Thanks to everyone who offered their support, energy and prayers during the worst part of this ordeal.
Please continue to keep Jen (& family) in your thoughts as she enters the next phase of her fight.
Blessed Be-

Holiday Spirit
Things are (as usual) wonderful and busy heading into Yule.
I'm on the department decorating committee at work and helping create snowflakes, fake snowmen & an advent calendar :o)
I'm learning new choreography for the upcoming AAMED Hafla in February and going thru music for a solo. Speaking of Haflas- Elemental is having a student Hafla this week so that our ladies can show off what they've learned. (gotta remember to bring drinks & invite Raye)
Whitney & I put our heads together this weekend & talked a little about the upcoming trip to KY(hopefully work will allow David to come too). We got wish lists from the kids, shopping plans are being laid, and the battle (ie shopping) will soon commence!!!
We made a tentative foray into the malls this weekend for a gift and realized that it will take a both of us to get things done this year. No more divide and conquer, LOL!!
Nothing new to report on the progress of the house as work has been postponed for a little while so that we can make the most of the season. (Ok- it's also been too flippin cold to be out there for too long.)
More later on Yule celebrations with CF and friends :o)

Thanksgiving
You may be tired of reading entries like this but we had an absolutely amazing weekend!! We went to see my family in Kentucky for the holiday: leaving Wednesday after work & making the drive up. Thanksgiving Day was so much fun! We surprised my sister (who thought that we couldn’t make it) and grandma, played with my niece& the dogs, ate excellent food, played cards, drank a little mead, laughed until we cried and, in general, had a fantastic time.
Mom, David and I went shopping on Friday & then she outdid herself (as usual) and cooked a great dinner to follow a great dinner.
Now we're back and recovering from both the trip itself and all the festivities.
As much as I love visiting my family, that drive is a real b****, LOL!!!
