Karma

I find myself thinking about odd stuff tonight. Mainly about some former friends who went out of their way to make me feel doubt or to just plain feel BAD by telling me that my guy was only using me to "whitewash his reputation" and by telling me that I was nothing but a trophy.
I found out last night that these same two people are now having major marital issues and are on the verge of divorce.
It makes me wonder if it's Karma.

Happy New Year!

It's crazy how quickly 2010 passed isn't it? 2010 was such an extremely busy/eventful year that it feels like it had scarcely begun when it ended.
My family saw a lot of action over the past 12 months. Some of it good, some of it bad- and though the bad was never exactly pleasant, it did provide learning experiences and opportunities for growth that we might not have taken otherwise.
We made new friends, strengthened bonds with old ones, laughed, cried, emerged victorious from a couple small battles, loved our kids and each other.
The One Kitty Death Squad got an apprentice/pet to stop her from nagging the HELL out of us and after a few days of spats and sulks, decided to accept his existence. He's a weird little dude: gets in trouble any way that he can, purrs like a buzzsaw, tries to shower with me on occasion, plays in the bathroom sink, considers the printer on David's desk his mortal enemy and prefers to spend his nights sleeping on my head or snuggled between us with his head on my shoulder.
By choice, we spent New Year's Eve more quietly this year; we had dinner out, ran some errands then spent the rest of the night happily snuggled at home, watching silly movies and dancing with each other in the minutes before midnight- and, of course, I got my kiss right at the stroke of midnight :o) After all the hustle and bustle of the holidays, it seemed the perfect thing to do.
Now it's back to work. Things are usually beyond hectic this time of the year on the job front- it always is the 1st quarter. Stress is always a close companion, especially when it comes to the new policy of only training the newbies on about a 1/4of our business...whoever thought that having them transfer work to others instead of fully training them was a good thing needs to have their head examined! All the older employees have a lot to say about the new 'training program' and NONE of it's good. The new policy, combined with the freeze on PT is already making sure that we can hardly wait for the end of the quarter.
On a far more entertaining note:I'm still teaching/dancing with Elemental AND dancing with Troupe Talameez. Right now, I'm prepping for two hafla's (one for the students and one to dance in)which could be a little intimidating if I let it. We (Jennifer and I)have two numbers that we're teaching the students simultaneously while I'm learning three group numbers and a solo for the one I'm performing in at the same time. Fun, huh?
So far, no problems in remembering any of the dances but at some point I'm sure I'm gonna have dreams where I forget something and try to dance choreography to the wrong music! LOL!!
