Well- we knew that we had at least one mouse as we saw the little f***er more than once but could never catch the damn thing or convince the landlord to actually do anything about it other than complain that they had to have come from the guy who had a snake eons ago in one of the other apartments.
But now that the One Kitty Death Squad is living with us, we now know that there were many more than that.
The body count is three and 1/8 mice over a 2 day period. Saturday: delivery of the first corpse. I think it (an adult) was already dead but she brought it to me anyway- bless her furry little heart! We found a dead 'baby' next...she was playing with it downstairs. David got to her before she could kill the next 'baby' and took it out to give it a new home....I think he walked across the road and chucked it into the backyard of the folks who back up to the train tracks. The next thing we found her with was a head....took that nasty thing away too and tossed it in the dumpster.
She's been stalking the house ever since- searching for her next victim.
I feel safer already!!
