A lot has happened since I last posted: hafla went off without a hitch. My classmates and I wound up dancing THREE group numbers so those plus my solo kept me on my toes. A little after the show, Shannon told me she was very impressed with my dancing which just made my night.
Our class also danced for the Middle Eastern studies group at UALR and again at RiverFest (for the third year running).
Then things got REALLY interesting. David got a job offer out of the blue from a company in New England. After loads of talking and meditating on it, we decided he should take it. I threw my hat in the ring too and had a job offer myself w/in 2days of posting my resume! So...we told the kiddos, told the friends, told the employers and- here we are!
We absolutely love it here. It is breathtakingly beautiful, we live in a picturesque little town, have jobs that pay us very well and the people here are great- even if they do talk funny and say 'wicked' entirely too much, hahaha!
We've also gotten to go see and do some pretty cool things.
Today, for example, we went to the Keene Pumpkin Fest and Celebrate Samhain- where I got to meet both Raven Grimassi and Christopher Penczak...my two favorite Pagan authors. I had the opportunity to chat a little with them and found them both to be warm, funny and lively people. I'm looking forward to starting one of Chris' classes soon. I will let you know how that goes :o)
